Possible mouth rot.

Hello, my female panther chameleon may have mouth rot, she has black around the rim of her mouth and i want to make sure its not just bug juice before i take her to get antibiotics.

Are you sure it's not a bruise? when they bruise they turn black like that. It looks like its on the outer lip not inside her mouth. I could be wrong.

I wouldn't give her antibiotics without consulting a vet first.

I could not tell from the image provided. Could you let us know if you see any symptoms like: Swelling in gums, Yellow pus, Black plaque on teeth or Changes in feeding behavior?
