Had to share this even though it's something you wont want to hear.
In our local pet shop they have a wide variety of reoptiles. We even got our chameleon from there, that was before the sacked the only guy who knew what he was talking about (becasue apparently he cost to much money). The reptiles had always been looked after, but not anymore.
They have been taken over by new management, and they have a male veiled chameleon in there which has been in there to about 2 months ish? He's probably about 6 - 7 months old.
He looks so unhappy, he is in a horizontal tank with one cane and he just sits on the platic wire that connects his light. He's there everytime I go in and never moves.
His eyes are very sunken in (no water I presume) and his colour is dark all the time.
There are a few plastic plants on the bottom of the tank so even if they do spray him he has nowhere to drink from. He has no mister or dripper.
He doesn't have anywhere to climb and I am not sure if he had a UV or not as I didn't see one. I'm not sure though.
I wanted to complain to the pet shop but they wouldn't welcome it I don't think.
I'd buy him, but 1. I can't afford him, 2. I have no room, and 3. I'm sure if I brought him they'd just get another one in!
What else can I do?
