pooping, how often?

I'm just kind of curious as to how often other adult chams poop. My female veiled used to poop pretty much every day when she was a juvi but since she became adult age (she is currently approx 15 to 16 months) she only poops about once every week or so. Her urates used to be very white but now they have more orange in them and I believe it is because they are staying inside her so long, she does not show any other sign of dehydration.

My male usually defecates everyday or two and my female defecates maybe once or twice a week, sometimes her urates are yellowish orange, otherwise they are white.

Mike your chams movements sound just like mine! I have to put him in the shower once a week to get him to poop or I believe he just won't lol. I know what you mean though, when Samson goes his poops and urates are pretty big, today he went and half his urate was white and the other half was orange with a straight division of lines. He just got back from the vet a week ago and he was given a clean bill of health. I see him drink just about everyday and he doesn't look dehydrated, so I am curious about this as well.

My female, Amy, pooped at the weekend and it was 2 weeks since her last one! Her urates were also a little yellow/orange at the end, but the part that left her body last was nice and white as usual. You are right that the longer the urate is in the body, the more water is absorbed before it is expelled. Tommy has never been a regular pooper and I have always struggled to get white urates from him. However, in the last week he has pooped for 3 days in a row and each time the urate was nice and white!:D Amy used to poop daily until about 6 months when her food intake and growth slowed right down.

thanks for the replies, sounds pretty normal for things to slow down a bit from being a juvi. Her urates are white on the 'fresh' end that comes out as well and the 'movements' are huge so I think all is good.
