Poop!

i want to get the chams checked and i finally found a very smal poop. its already sorta hard but i think they pooped it today(becuz i've been serching everyday for a good while...) can i use it???
i put it in a wet paper towel in a plsic bag. mabey it will soften up or whatever. if its hard and unknown in age what do you do? im so hopefull i can use it. lol

Any poo can be tested, but I dont think you will get an acurate test if its past 4 hours old

I believe that the paper towel isnt a good thing, best to just use a plastic bag/container.

ughhhhhhh D:!!!!! i've been waiting for like a week!!! stupid poop i need a clair poop. hers a decent and dont dry out in 10seconds. i dont think its even a day old unless im blind tbh. but its not worth testing something thats not accurate.

Why not take a little bag, and use a rubberband to secure it to Clair's backside, then when she poos you will have the sample for sure!



I have had a hard time getting a sample myself ;/ Its fairly aggravating

its stupid. they poop all over the place untill i want one and than they hide them just to tick me off. haha,

Yep, I waited all day, very attentively for a sample last time I went to the vet, then I get home and they both pooped that evening

Many will go after some nice warm sun or a nice warm shower. I just wait for the signature leg-lift and put a baggie under the butt while they do it.

One of mine will walk over and try to poop on me sometimes.

ican say thats not true. I had a glacier nigel poop, that was 24 hours old, and he was still tested posi for coccidia.
i put it in a small dixie cup (plastic) and then a sandwich bag. and then into the fridge.

Just catching up, glad there is nothing wrong. I worry when I see poop in the health forum.

Like I said, any poo can be tested, you just get a more accurate test if its fresh. That is my understanding anyhow...

and i foudn that in a cup in the fridge, kept it wet. but i also collected it right after it happened.
