So I’ve had my chameleon since Saturday this week and I’ve fed him like 3 times since I’ve got him and I haven’t noticed poop maybe once but something I did notice was this orange looking poop thing that I’ve had to clean up twice idk if it’s poop or not that’s why I need help identifying what it is

It’s the urates (urine) and it should be whiter than that. The more orange it is the more dehydrated your chameleon is. It’s ok to be slightly orange.
How come when I see pictures of other orange poop I looked up they don’t really look alike at all there’s no other part of the poop it’s just the urine

You’re welcome.
if your chameleon is really not producing the poop/brown part, I would advise you to let us know and you will likely need to see a vet in that case.

What is a common price for a normal check up on a chameleon from a chameleon specialist at an animal hospital? Because I’ve called my nearest animal hospital and they said $156 which is real crazy to me

Okay thank you how was your chameleon after the exam?
Very healthy, except had coccidia. :( it was not fun at all. I would have never known it, he was healthy, growing, eating, no issues whatsoever. It just came out in the exam. Still doing routine fecals. But much better now. One important reason fecal testing is so important. I might add my vet did specialize in exotics, that is important also when searching. These are a unique little creatures.

Is that fresh or would it always look like that because I have never seen my chameleon poop and I doubt I ever would so does it look diff when it’s dried up?
Its fresh poop. Your poop picture looks very dry. Carmelo (my veiled) poops everyother day. In the same spot. In fact, on poop days I put paper towel down to catch the poop. Easy clean up. I monitor the poop for signs of dehydration, diarrhea, constipation or signs of illness. I give Carmelo 1 hornworm 2 times a week to help with hydration. Also he eats Money Tree and Pothos leaves. Im sure the leaves help keep him regular. I'm a new keeper. I've learned that Chameleon's require delicate care, constant monitoring and keepers have to know their Chameleon's normal behaviors to detect when somethings a little off.
