Hi,
Yesterday I received one pygmy chameleon in the mail. To my surprise, it came with 2 babies, one of which was dead. Now, I'm worried about my two surviving chameleons.
Chameleon Info For Older One:
Your Chameleon - Bearded pygmy. It is only been 1day with me.
Handling - once
Feeding - Small crickets and fruit flies. I haven't seen him eat, but he has pooped.
Supplements - multi-vitamin. (I will be getting calcium soon.)
Watering - Hand misted twice.
Fecal Description - Dark brown with cream color urate. Has never been tested for parasites.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - 5 gallon tank.
Lighting - None yet, will soon be getting UVB light.
Temperature - 75* hygrometer, humidity is 70%-80%.
Plants - Vines and leaves (fake) and moss in the bottom,
Placement - Placed above a 2ft tall drainage table in my room.
Location - New Jersey
Baby;
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Pygmy hatchling. It is only been 1day with me.
Handling - once
Feeding - Fed her fruit flies. Saw her eat.
Supplements - none yet. (hard to supplement fruit flies)
Watering - Hand misted twice.
Fecal Description - haven't seen yet.
Cage Info:
Same cage as the other one until I get a new cage. They seem to be co existing peacefully.
My problem is that they seem to be sleeping A LOT, sometimes on the ground. I don't know if that is due to stress from shipping or what. Please help me! They are no dehydrated.
