Plant addict anonymous

I honestly tried to not buy it but $24 come on how can I say no lol
Right?? That's how I felt when I bought that bromeliad the other day. It was only $8!! My hone depot has some hibiscus too, I'm considering getting one to add to Pestos free range outside but also I'll probably kill it outside.... and i dont have room in his enclosure right now.... maybe i should wait lol

Yea I was planning to make this one free range outside as well I know I’ll kill it lol

Can anybody identify this? It looks like a pothos on steroids. Vines about 3/4-1 inch thick, and the older ones were a bit woody. Lady there didn't know or wouldn't give me the name. Just said dont expect us to have any anytime soon.

It looks like a monstera deliciosa to me. Pothos leaves will get quite large when they grow up a pole or tree like that, but I don't think they ever get fenestrations.

I actually went back and spoke to one of the owners. It is a golden pothos that has been there for 15 years. They couldn't tell me why it was doing the split leaf thing on the upper portion.

This thread couldn't have come at a more perfect time! I'm going to our nursery tomorrow and I am so excited to bring home some new plants!
Show me your favorite plants! What should I get???
I love Bromeliads -- but they only bloom once and if you don't harvest the pups their kinda pffft when the original bloom is done. Orchids are always pretty but I take them out when they arnt' blooming so they an regen in their favorite window. Variegated plants are always STUN too! If you can find yourself a variegated monstera! if you do hi hello thanks I 10/10 will buy a cutting from you

Mona Lavender is a beautiful purple little bell like flower -- never had it in my enclosure though-- blooms like crazy once a year.

That offer goes to all you cham plant freakazoids on here <--- will pay for variegated cuttings! can't find 'em here too often.

I need to find myself a good monstera anyway, maybe I'll see if I can find a variegated one

I have had my Mona Lavender for years now. I had no idea what it was called. I randomly named my cham Mona -- then about 6 months after having her I decided to see what that random purple plant I had was -- and it was a Mona Lavender! a wikipedia hole later and I find out Mona is greek for The Solitary One.

F***ing killing this name game. (y):ROFLMAO:

Are they certain that is one plant? Certainly looks like a Pothos and Monsterra potted together. '

Never seen a Pothos get leaf spacing like a monstera. I have one that's gotta be 15 years old now.

@KRGEE21 interesting. Was it growing up a solid wood post? Like a structural post of the greenhouse?
Yes. They had it in a planted bed at the base, and it was wrapped around one of the main support beams of the green house. The split leaves were starting about 16 feet above the planter.

Certainly possible. I will take a closer look the next time I am there. Isn't the monsterra more of a Bush or shrub growing plant though? Not a vine. They would have to have some place for it to root up high.
