Pictures of Home Made Cages

Here you go

Sure, here's my 2'W x 1'D x 2'H DIY cage that I built for my baby ambilobe, Loki (he's three months old now). It's made from oak with charcoal aluminum screen and it has a DIY fake rock background with planters and a DIY drip and mist system.

Loki really likes it so far and it fits him perfectly but I'll be starting on a new bigger/adult one in a couple of months or so.

How much did it cost for you to make?

I went the expensive route on that one using oak instead of pine, furniture grade hardware and brackets, and a few other items that added to the cost like the four cans of aerosol polyurethane that ran $7-8 each instead of just using one $4 can of the brush on kind that would've done the same job (it was easier to use the aerosol kind but the cans didn't last that long and I had to buy several to get enough coverage). I think it ran around $125-150 including the fake rock background but I could have easily cut that price in half by just using pine instead of oak and using the brush on polyurethane instead of the aerosol version. Oh well, live and learn. Luckily this one is a tempory cage until Loki is big enough for me to build him a larger (3'W x 2'D x 4'H) adult enclosure.

Sweet setup Sandra!

Here's Stanleys indoor enclosure.... the mistking and water reservoir sit inside of the stand, the container on the outside holds the drainage/runoff water..... it's since been relocated by a window so that he can look outside!!!! ;)
