So I logged in today and its telling me I need to pay if I wanna upload anymore photos...................... its a stupid amount to.. I am at 547MB.... WTF kind of random ass number is that to say 'oh thats too much fork over $25'?!?!

You need to make a second acct.

ImageShack and Photobucket all work the same way.

I reciently made a Flickr acct... They give you like 100mb per month.... Uh thats like 7-8 raw pictures from my camera...

I think is all to do with the economy... I want to send an angry email telling them I will never giv them a dime... but there is no such way of contacting them.... great customer service...... oh wait its a free service....... Maybe if I pay i'll get some service? 25 bucks for the year isn't bad is it? I dunno..... I don't wanna give them the money just because all of a sudden this isn't free, just because they say so.... I am bitter.....

Why do you expect to get something for free?
They have costs of servers, storage, bandwidth, etc. Makes sense that a small charge be asked of those using their site. You dont like it? maybe you should Set up your own.
