Captain Awesome
Hello everyone,

Now that the migration is over and most of the related bugs and issues are tidied up we are going to focus on some new initiatives for the site. The big project for 2016 is a proper Chameleon Species Database and I’d like to see some improvements made to our Chameleon Care Resources pages. More details on those later once we’ve worked out the organization and programming aspects but we are pretty excited about these plans.

In the meantime I’d to work on some minor improvements to the site. I’ve noticed we have had a large number of sexing requests. Not that we don’t mind to answer sexing questions, but all of our sexing information is tucked away in the CCR and I think it should be more readily available to new keepers. For now I’m just going to focus on the popular Veileds and Panthers. Yes we do plan to make ones for other species but that will be part of the larger database.

So here is my dilemma, I don’t mind to organize and write the resource, but I don’t really have any high quality photos in my collection that I can use as examples. I’m looking for photos of tarsal spurs, the back feet of male and female Veileds (baby feets would we awesome!) hemipenal bulges or lack thereof, baby panthers taken from the side etc. If any of you have these images that I can use for the article please send them to [email protected].

As always, if anyone has feedback about the site, please make a post in the feedback category or send me a private message.

Thanks,
Trace
