Captain Awesome
Hey folks! We are finishing up some new and exciting features for the site and I’m missing some good, clear photographs of the commonly feed insects; Crickets, Dubia, Superworms, Locusts, Silkworms, Hornworms and Butterworms. I just want a picture of the insect itself preferably on a plain white or light coloured background. I don’t need feeding shots; we have a million of those. Are any of you shutterbugs up for the challenge?

If so post ‘em up on this thread!

Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing the results. :)
Cheers,
Trace

I have a few of silkworms, silkmoths and locusts. Feel free to use any of these if they are suitable!

Adult locust (5th instar - 1st to 4th instar do not possess wings). This one had it's jumping legs removed as they have sharp barbs on them.

Rock ‘n Roll! Those are awesome! Your photos are always wonderful Tiff, thank you so much. :D

Anybody else have some feeder pictures that they would like to share?

Cheers,
Trace

I am getting some hormworms, butterworms, and superworms in the mail on Tuesday so I'll try to get some shots of them.

Are these up to scratch?

I WAS going to take photos of my new bugs but they're lost somewhere in the mail system. I'll see if they're still alive tomorrow when I find them.

Oh no! That sucks! This was the first time I ordered through the mail and am lucky they are alive. I got a heat pack just to be careful, and today was a record high here! Just my luck . Hope they get there soon! (and alive )

Don't worry, this is probably the first time in 6-7 years ordering bugs that they haven't made it to me properly. The tracking number says they attempted a delivery and left a notice, but I was home all day, there's nothing in my mail box, and there's nothing at the leasing office either. So, no idea lol The post office isn't sure if it's back at a center or still on the truck somewhere.

Outstanding! This is great! There are some awesome photos here and I want to thank each and every one of you posted. I’m not sure which ones we will use right now and which ones we may keep to use in the future as the various resources and projects grow.

Again thank you! It is very much appreciated from me and the rest of the development team. Keep 'em coming!

Cheers,
Trace
