Pfefferi??

It isn't like they give you any info, where they got them, wc or ch, cb.
Just for the hell of it I will call and get info and let you know what they have to say.

I mean it's normal that rarer animals get by "accident" into normal shippments but it's very very checky to sell them the normal way ...

Do you have a Notification to the Parties or Resolution number? All I see on the quota list is 1,500 for T. montium.

Benny,

There is no outright ban on the export of T. pfefferi as far as I'm aware. The ban you are thinking of is unique to the EU for importing.

Chris

Benny,

The lack of any CITES notification banning their export, the fact that the EU has banned many chameleon species from being imported as WC, the fact that the source you cite states "Importverbot" indicating that the import is prohibited and that it is using the EU Annex system in it.

Chris

Face it Benny, you are going to have to immigrate here to get your cool chameleons. :p

Chamaeleonidae Chameleons
Bradypodion spp.
Brookesia spp. (Except the species included in Appendix I)
Brookesia perarmata
Calumma spp.
Chamaeleo spp.
Furcifer spp.

All of those are illegal to import WC if you dont have a cITES approval which almost anyone can.

Eisentrauti, look up www.cites.org instead of something else. Its the correct list.

Glad there's no issues with the T. pfefferi. I should be getting a pair tomorrow, maybe some quads too. I've hatched the other 3 main species coming from Cameroon so it will be great to finally get a chance to work with these.
