Personal Watering Issue

Hey, all! Me again.

So I’ve come across one issue that genuinely bothers me: I work late (usually until about 9 PM), and I cannot water my Veiled until I am home. I do not want any family member accidentally doing something wrong while trying to help, and I do not have an automatic mister yet (although I am saving for a MistKing).

I usually have to water him the moment I get home, and I feel horrible because it awakens the poor baby from his much-needed sleep.

My question is this: if I change the timer on his light to turn on at 8:30 AM, could I turn them off at 9:00 PM? It would be much more convenient, but I am unsure if this would throw off his sleep schedule somehow. For reference, it currently turns on at 7:00 AM and turns off at about 7:30 PM.

Any advice helps!

I know mistkings are well, KING. But I recently bought a moistenland mister, with the intent of buying a mist king if it was a dud. I'm still happy with it!

Thank you! From what I saw, MistKings are fairly pricey. This should solve my problem!

I'd also recommend a Wi-Fi heat/hydro meter. It helps how to track/adjust your misting and heating accordingly. Mine is just a cheap inkbird from Amazon.

Although because of the placement of my inkbird the heat is always reads 1.5c less than what it is under the basking light.

I bought a J&A for $67. Cdn and so far it works fabulous!

Hes going to be on the sleeping stick loooooong before the lights go out. A few hour adjustment wont be bad. Though mine tend to goto bed regardless of lights out time. Hes on the stick by 5pm, doesnt matter if its summer and its light out till 9m, or if its dead of winter and pitch black by 5pm. And hes doesnt care about daylight savings time either.
