Peaceful mornings with coffee and chams

Since I don't have the outdoor cage finished yet, I have been sitting with Ryker specifically, but also Hope a few times a week, outside in the morning when I drink my coffee and they get their sun. I find it relaxing and peaceful, and I have now decided that even after I have the cage built and set up for them safely. I think I will have to keep doing this even if it's only until my coffee is gone and then I just place them in the cage. The thing is, I feel like I have created more of a trusting bond between the two of them and of course me (they never sit with each other so it would just be between each chameleon and i) and I don't want to lose it. Ryker who can go from hating me one second (due to meds and feedings when needed) to just chilling on my shoulder without a care in the world... It just makes it seem like it's a bit easier to help him forget about the fact that I give him meds and make him mad. And it is so relaxing for me too.

You totally should. I sit out side with my pets when it's good sunlight too. I think it does establish more of a trust between you because the think of you as safe so when you take them outside and they can see you out there too they, in my opinion, will see outside as being safe too.

And I don't really have to worry about predatory Hawks or falcons in my neighborhood. I think we have them every once in a while, but we have several family of mockingbirds nearby I am pretty sure we have nesting pair nextdoor and a huge flock of crows so they chase off any dangers to their fledglings.
