There goes the uvb bulb it's about 90 all the way at the top and about 74 at the bottom

Could you fill out the ask for help form in as much detail as possible, including pics of your cham, his lights, and his full cage-lights to bottom, please? Sadly, just from the pics and what you’ve said, there are some husbandry changes that need to be made.

  • Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
  • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
  • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
  • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - veiled chameleon, male, it's a juvenile so probably about 6 months old in my care for a little over a month.
  • Handling - never he hides when I open the door
  • Feeding - crickets hornworms and wax worms about 10 crickets when he wants to eat provide them everyday but he doesn't eat everyday put the food in about 4 in the afternoon cause I work and take them out around 7 vegetables potatoes greens carrots What are you feeding your cham?
  • Supplements - reptical and reptivite with d3 reprisal every feeding and reptivite every two weeks
  • Watering - little dropper and hand mist for about 40 seconds 3 to 4 times a day fogger at night and yes I see him drink
  • Fecal Description - white with a brown middle looks like a mix of human and bird matter and I don't know if he's been tested for parasites got him from cb reptile
  • History - Nothing that I can think of

  • Cage Type - mesh cage 16x16x30
  • Lighting - reptisun t5 ho and a 45w incandescent for heat light turns on about 8:45am and off at 8:45pm
  • Temperature - 90 at the basking and about 72 at the bottom lowest night temp probably 69 have a digital thermometer
  • Humidity - humidity gauge it's about 40 and at night I must a lot to get it around 90
  • Plants - none just a fake ficus tree
  • Placement - in a corner about 4 feet from heating duct not a high traffic area just 2 people in the house and we are hardly home top of cage it's about 5 feet from the ground
  • Location - Michigan

Current Problem - goes to the bottom and is pawing at his cage

What are you doing to drain the water? Your enclosure looks like it doesn't have drainage

I drilled little holes at the bottom and the cage is on 2x4's
Ah okay. I guess I'm just not seeing the drainage tray underneath. Anyways, I think your cham is entirely too overgrown for a 16x16x30. That would explain him wanting to get out. It's not comfortable for him.
 
That is a great option. How much is he eating ? He is really skinny . I would look at getting him tested for parasites. Unfortunately cbreptile has a bad rep for selling unhealthy animals. Ill send full feedback from your form for your setup in a few.
