The base of the tail is almost as wide as the body. Is that because your cham is totally stretching out? My cham will reach and all of a sudden he is a skinny wet rat...

It could just be the angle. I believe verru's are naturally "slender", but longer than most chams. He was rather skinny when I 1st brought him home, but has since shed and fattened up.
