i asked on ere yday are panthers harder to keep than veild coz i was think of getin 1 on the weekend.
anyway my girlfreind rung the pet shop up today to see if they still have any and if they have any males coz i want a male, they do have them but he dosent no wot sex they are.
they are 8 week old are they to young to sex and how wud i beable to tell a male from a female or is it the jus same as veilds exept the cask on the head ofcourse lol.
in my opinion he shudnt be selling them if he dosent no wot sex they are.

The easiest way to sex small panthers if you are inexperienced is the hemipenal bulge. Basically guys have a package, girls dont. The base of the tail is thicker in males also. So look at the cloaca "the rear" and if he has a bulge and a thicker tapered tail its a boy. Some go by juvi colors but that is not a great way of sexing. So look them all over and you will be able to pick the boys from the girls. Or take a photo in the store and we can sex it for u.

The guy at the store shouldn't care if your taken pics to sex them. Heck your doing him a favor cuz then he can have a good idea what sex the others are. They must not know much about chams. Are they in glass or screen cages? Are the keeping them under the proper uvb? If you can watch them eat that would be great. If posssible call the day before and tell them that you would like to see them feed the babies to get a good idea of whos a good eater and such. Also look closely at their eyes and butts for anything crusty or runny coming out of rear. That could mean eye infections or int he case of stringy poo parasites. If they have either of those do not buy them. Its incredibly hard to save a sick baby.

wen i went in last week he was feeding them so i had a walk round the shop until he ad finished and went over to watch them there are 3 or 4 i think and seen each 1 nail a few bugs they all look gud in health
he as them in a glass viv (wont be when i bring 1 home) with the correct lighting onli trouble is he cant sex them he told my girlfreid wait anover month until he can but if i wait a month noing my luck he wud of sold them
my dads had chams off him before and theyve all bein in gud health and ate well
