Hey so I am new to owning a chameleon in fact i dont have one yet but am very savy with reptiles and especially chameleons (I work for a reptile store) but I am wondering in terms of care between the too is their really any? is veiled usually recomendded as the beginner cham cause of the price??

That's possible. Panthers require a little more humidity than Veileds, but their husbandry is basically the same. Look up care sheets on both and compare them.

There really isn't any significant difference between the two. But yes, read up on a coupple of books or caresheets and go from there! Veileds are definately cheaper, but you can find Panthers for around $150, which is still more than $40-50, but it's definately less than $250! Both are great chams, so just continue doing research and look around at people's photos and see which you like most. Good luck! :)
