Panther sex

Hi every one. Was wondering if you can tell if this Nosy Be Panther was male or female? I read on another thread that you can tell by the tail base? If it has a thick tail base dose that mean female or male? Also you can’t see on the pic, but it has very light green scales on it's cheeks if that helps any. Are all Cham babies brown?

Well, I thought it was female because her tail base is thinner, unlike a male's tail where it would be thicker, and her lateral stripe (white stripe) is broken. The lateral stripe method isn't the most exact way to tell though.

Female panthers generally stay a pink/orange/tan colour whereas the males show colouration at that age but yes.. the main way to tell is by the base of the tail...

yeah, thought it might be, specifically phoned and said i only wanted a male think they had a few females in after all the males had gone and they said they where 99% sure it was a male but could not guarantee it, bit anoying but guess i dont trust them again !!
