So i have a 5 month old panther and lately he has been very dark in colour, a deep purple/blackish colour. When he is sleeping he turns BRIGHT green and when i reach my hand in the tank to handle him he turns lime green with black stripes. I understand the black is when he is scared but why when he is left alone does he go a deep purple/black?

The Temp is 90 in the basking spot which i NEVER see him use and 70 at the bottom of the cage. Humidity is at 67% and he gets plenty of water. I feed him twice a day and use super pig a 4 times a week. Is this normal for him to be this colour when he is left alone?
