Panther chameleon eating pothos plant

Hi all. Today I noticed that Loki had eaten a big piece of a pothos leaf. Later in the day I observed that he had eaten another bite. I am curios to know why he did it and if it will affect him.

Really? That’s unusual. I assume he’ll be ok since the veileds are always chowing down their plants. Pothos isn’t toxic. I would expect he may pass bits of it intact since panthers lack the ability to digest plants.

But he will be able to digest it right? I just wanna make sure he’s okay. I worry about him a lot

Do you have a photo of the leaves with bites out of them…or is he eating the whole leaf?

Panthers especially younger ones have been known to bite a plants or even bite their branches. He will be fine it will process through without issue.

He is eating the whole leaf over time. Here is a picture of the leaf he ate.
