Panther cham tongue sticking out.

So you have a 12inch fixture? this is too short for a 24 inch cage. What is the distance measured from this uvb fixture to the branch right below it?

My panther sticking tongue out while at rest. Eating and drinking normal. Do I need to see a vet? Whats going on?
Before you panic too much, let us know whether his tongue is always like this, or whether he is always sticking his tongue out and licking branches. Panthers have this weird habit.

Ok but from this picture it does not appear to have a branch right below where you have the UVB fixture? Looks like it drops farther away.

Yesterday was the first time I've ever seen him doing this.

You want the UVB to line up over a branch that is 8-9 inches below it. I am not sure about the distance with that lower branch but where he sits at that higher branch he is not getting UVB. The light does a drop below then spreads just slightly out to the sides as you move away from the fixture.

My concern is the improper supplementation and possible issue of uvb. Because of distance and the fact that your running a shorter fixture then the enclosure.
Looking at two things here... MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) or Vitamin A deficiency from not have a multivitamin like reptivite without D3. But you have not been giving him enough calcium without D3 either. And you have been doubling the Calcium with D3.

I have tagged in a more experienced keeper to look.

‘MBD’ stands for ‘metabolic bone disorder/disease’. Please don’t freak out. If he has MBD, it looks like a mild case that can be addressed with a change in supplements/lighting/husbandry. I am not a vet, but I have a little experience, and if MBD is confirmed by a vet, my guess is that, with a few husbandry tweaks, your baby amby will live a long and healthy life.

Omg. Will he be ok ? I will switch all the supplements immediately. Karma is my baby and I will absolutely die if I harmed him.

Deep breath...don’t panic. Here’s what I would do. 1) make sure I’m running a proper uvb bulb across the entire length of the enclosure. A T5 high output ‘reptisun 5.0’ or ‘Arcadia 6%’. 2) Until you research and fully grasp the various views on supplementation, grab a small bottle of ‘Repashy Calcium plus LOD’ and use it at every feeding.
3) Book a vet appointment for a wellness visit, and establish a good working relationship with your vet.

Could not find repashy calcium plus LOS I will try online. Bought exo terra multi for the time being. Also dumped mealworms and bought hornworms. Are these worms good?
