Outdoor Veiled Cage?? Need Help

I just finished my outdoor cage for my veiled but was a little behind schedule. It is now late Sept in SOuther CAli and night time temps are reaching mid 60's, only to get colder come Dec-Feb. Anyway, I was planning on gettin a young veiled 3-4 months but am now concerned about his acclimation to the weather. I guess my question is, is it too late in the year to introduce a cham to an outdoor cage. Ive recently bought a 2x2x2 hamster cage so I could keep him inside at night but am still concerned. Should I hold off til spring time. Or would moving him outdoors during the day to indoors during night suffice? If so, how much effort do I need to put into his indoor cage if he wil primarily be outside. Ideas?

Oh yea..if he is outdoors I would keep a 100 watt night basking light on at all times for sleep and during day have a day one if needed. Could also move these to indoor cage too but want to keep him in one cage as much as possible.
