Other then play sand?

I have a female sambava that almost got burried alive in her laying bin with wet play sand, what is something eles that could be used in a laying bin?

I use dirt from my backyard.

I don't think any chameleon lays in sand in nature.

Yea I think im goin to try that because I dont want her to get hurt in any way
