today poppy was on the bottom of her cage for a couple of hours, there was bathroom on the bottom of her cage that was orange, jelly like that is it.
she was not sleeping
she was eating fine
her colors are bright green
she is very active

please help!!!

The urate? Orange urate means they are dehydrated. It should be a white or creamy white, not yellow/orange.

So contrary to what people assumed, that is not a urate. Sometimes the obvious conclusion is not the right one! As you may or may not know Jackson’s Chameleons give live birth and that yellow pearl thing is an unfertilized ova. It’s not common and I tend to see this happen on either newly acquired wild caught animals or long term properly cycled live bearing chameleons. These slugs get expelled during birth so check the cage for any tiny babies running around. However, like their egg laying cousins, she may just have a clutch of these unfertilized eggs too. She should have no problems delivering these slugs (give her some privacy and she will do the rest) but if you do see her in any kind of distress or starts getting lethargic a trip to the vet is warranted.

a yellow urate indicates otherwise healthy dehydration, but an orange urate is a different thing alltogether.

urates are orange because of visible blood in the urate, ie gross hematuria, which in the case of chams, is usually related to parasites, kidney infection, or osmotic lysis due to organ failure.

yellow urate=dehydration (not generally a big deal in itself)

orange urate = visible red blood cells in the urate (always a big deal, indicitive of pending serious possibly fatal metabolic issues).

bright green and still eating indicates not likely gravid, so as trace pointed out, imo, the indication is infertile ova from an unfertilized female. jmo
if she appears to have a problem passing them , but is still eating, you could gutload a few small feeders with some prunes.

imo, the bottom of the cage thing indicates some issue in addition to just passing infertile ova, i would still recommend reposting with an entire help form. jmo.
