Optimus is living up to his name. After a long battle with a severe bilateral eye infection, the little guy is alert, feeding, and moving about his home with a new sense of vigor. His right eye is completely open and free of defect. His left eye is slowely coming along, though he still tends to close it periodicly. I'am going to contact the vet today to inquire when to stop administering the Baytril and eye drops. Thanks for all your support!! He really is looking good. I'll post picks when I get home.

Tell us more of the eye infection or send a link to the original thread please. One of my guys has an eye infection and I am not satisfied with what the vet prescribed. I didn't get terramyacin but another type of antibiotic.

The eye drops are a mixture of Polymycin and Polymyxin B. I also used a little corpsman training on him by providing warm compresses to his eyes twice a day and daily flushings with normal sailine solution.
