Oh Happy Day!

I am thrilled to report that our rescue Giant Day Gecko, Reptar, is now capable of climbing the glass and walking about it. It was a plesant surprise to walk into the room and see her chilling there at the top. Oh Happy Day -- her toe pads will serve her well

So glad to hear the good news and VERY glad Reptar is in a better home now. I wish I could hear more happy rescue stories like this.. reminds me of the little crested female I got of craigslist. She had calcium problems, couldn't stick to the glass, stuck shed.. never lost any fingers but she didn't have great balance either.. she is so much better now and has gained 8g!

(By the way, you might want to get a digital therm/hygro, more accurate!)

yeah, the digital is on the wish list -- want the one that pairs with the reptifogger. I have two vivs to outfit to that. Hope your little one recovers too! Happy success stories are wonderful to share.

If you need one for the time being, walmart has good ones (Acurite?) for $8-$20. I use the $8 ones and I've never had any complaints. I even accidentally submerged one in water and it still works.. hehehe.

I will have to check our Walmart! Haven't seen such. Maybe they don't think we are big enough market yet. As an aside, since she has figured out that she can cling to the walls she hasn't come down except mis-steps. What a doll. She is starting to show the ever vigilent observer and reactant critter of her ilk.
