Odd behavior

Just wondering what to make of this...

For the past week, my year-old ambilobe male has been trying furiously to get out of his enclosure when I go near it. I thought he was just racing to his feeder cup, but instead he tries to escape and he looks like his eyes are focused at something every time.

Well, today I finally let him out, and he immediately began trying to shoot his tongue at my hair or face, I'm not sure which. He tried at least 6 times, and I kept pulling him away, I don't want his tongue getting damaged if it gets my hair stuck to it.

He obviously must think there's food in my hair or something, but why? Nothing is different, my hair is the same. The only thing different is that he has been eating more dubia, and the superworms I got recently are a golden color, maybe blondish like my hair. I cant figure it out and it's disturbing. Anyone have any ideas? I will try to get it on video but IDK if it will work.

This is weird to do but here is a pic of my hair, does it look like food? My daughter is the other person in the pic, he does not do it to her.

Maybe he's going for your eyes? I've had some that would get excited when I moved my eyes and would try to shoot at them occasionally.

EEEw that's even weirder!! But why nobody else's? Everyone else in the family has brown eyes but why would that make a difference? And for the 10 months I have had him, he never did this before:confused:

Do you care for him the most? Mine only go for my fingers/face/etc. Maybe one day he had an epiphany about the little dubia in your eyes!

Haha, yes I am the one who cares for him always. That really freaks me out, I dint want him shooting his tongue at my eye!! Maybe I'll put sunglasses in to see if he still does it, I'll try later and report back!
