Nosy Mitsio not so strong anymore...

I don't understand what's been going on with Apollo. He's been extremely weak lately (past couple months) the same, nothing progressed better nor worse.

I got him dewormed because it's been over 6 months. He was dewormed a few weeks ago.

He eats like a beast when given the chance, and his tongue is deadly to those suckers.

I changed his UVB lighting a little over a month ago.

Things I am worried about and going to change asap.

I drilled holes in the bottom of his cage... planning on having a draining system. Never happened, the holes arent smelly... but they do look dirty.

I've been lazy about letting water sit out for a couple nights, boiling water etc.

Also have a question, how warm is the water you offer your chams from a dripper?

I've cut back his supplements, I think I'm going to give him a 30 min shower tomorrow morning.

With the shower water, I always keep it a little warmer than luke warm. Drinking water from the shower isn't bad if it's just once in a while?

I follow screameleons advice, and only supplement with rep-cal cal. w/vit D3. Tiny amount of dusting, with it being every 3 days for youngsters. Once they hit subadult, it goes to twice a week. Adult once a week.

What calcium supplement do most of you use w/o D3?

Here are pictures I took of him today - His skin is a little wrinkley, nothing out of the ordinary.

His right leg's hand is extra weak compared to the rest of his hands...Does his ankle look extra fat?

He has fallen from his tree twice in the past couple months.

When I took him to the vet to get dewormed, my vet told me his joints feel, appear to be good and strong.

Should I get a blood test or x-rays?

This guy is GT3 from Screameleons, his age is heading towards 4 years old.

The light colorations on his pits and tail have always been there. I have seen this in many occasions.

Thanks for any help from anybody :)

Also, his right eye has a little lump, weird though, it's more of an overlap than an actual lump. Nothing seems to be in his eye, I've tried massaging it out, his eye seems good, and it never appears to bother him in anyway. Never seen him rubbing it, and it's been like that for a long time now.

Hey, Your Chameleon sounds strong in his eating habits, he does look abit gaunt, possibly from minor dehydration? You did not mention how well he drinks? He could be lacking crucial minerals, not just vitamins. Also Muscle atrophy is the deteriation of muscle tissue. You may do some reserch on topics like that. I'm not a Doctor so cant explain that completely. To me he is not converting his food intake into muscle mass. and could be a lack of movement, or the inability to convert food energy into muscle.
Is he kept in a large enclosure?
It also seems he has been confined.
you know I have used Reptaid on my older Male Panther and I did see noticable results in extra energy and motivation. I'm gonna post some pics of my 4 year old Male. He didnt move alot, but he is still solid in stature. He was sleeping for these pics but as I said He gets plenty of water intake and the Reptaid got him moving about well also. He is lazy, But what old pampered Cham isnt? I do enjoy seeing the new found energy I feel reptaid has possibly given him.

Apollo/GT3

Hopefully he comes back around for you. I have a girl sired by him and I'm sure she would miss her daddy very much if he stepped out on you.

About Apollo....

Hey there....A couple of questions.....Why was he "dewormed"? Did he have a routine test that found them? Or did you see them in a fecal? What was used to "deworm" him? What was the process? Do you actually see him drink? Have you ever supplemented him with any vitamins or minerals? You said just calcium with D3 in your post. Can you take a couple of pictures with a full body shot from different angles? Your pictures all just show sections. Full body shots will show proportions between limbs, etc. The picture of him kind of hanging on does not look good. He does look really week there. So he is still actually eating with a good appetite? Can you confirm that? This information will help....
