Nosy Faly - Male or Female?

I really don’t know what I see lol. Some days this cham looks like a male and some days a female. The waiting game it is. I’m generally happy with whichever gender but I definitely would prefer a male. Thank a lot!
Yeah I understand. And when they are young you really can not base it off their colors. Females can still show some fabulous reds, teals and greens when they are babies. It can be misleading.

I think female; especially with this photo https://www.chameleonforums.com/attachments/9be5b21e-780e-455a-b210-76a7df165102-jpeg.301444/

Most of my females when younger have those circle markings, where males tend to have only vertical stripes. But I could totally be wrong!
This is my current favorite holdback female; she's always displaying circle markings
Amazing. I thought females only stay brown peachy and pink kind of color. Your little lady has some really nice colors. What breed is she?

She's an ambilobe; unfortunately, a lot of females display similar coloring as they're maturing, but usually lose them after their first receptive period. I assume it has something to do with hormones, but don't quote me on that. They can absolutely have distinct undertones or be brighter in general, but even this girl will probably become 'plainer' once mature

I wish it was the other way around as it is for the males.

Yeah, it's a little bittersweet; the girls are currently about at their most colorful, while the boys are just coming into their true colors... After 6 months or so everything changes
Interesting. I figure my best bet would be to sell her (if it’s female) and purchase a male :/. I’ll just wait it out and think about it for now.

Honestly, I would do a vet exam before you look into selling.
Unfortunately where you purchased from she could have parasites or something else underlying that you wouldn't want to push off onto someone else. Definitely disclose where you purchased from too in your sale. Just my two cents. ❤

Yep ^^^^^ It is not just this @Frizzzyy. If your cham has a parasite that is contagious your risking another keeper and even your future chameleon. Some parasites are worse then others. Some are just horrible to have to take on. Especially when you think your getting a healthy chameleon.

A huge shoutout to backwaterreptiles who sent me the wrong preference and now I’m in this situation lol. Thanks for the advice, I’m already working on getting a visit
