'Normal' Urates?

Amy's urates always seem to be semi solid and surrounded in a clear mucous which looks like, and has the consistency, of raw egg white. There is only ever a small amount of urate in the mucous compared to the faeces part. There is always a small amount of water with the urates. Is this normal, or should her urates be more solid and sausage-shaped like the faeces? Having seen Dave Weldon's photographs of perfect urates and faeces, I am just wondering if Amy's are considered to be in the range of 'normal' too.

She is an extremely shy drinker. I have a dripper running for most of the day (a plastic pint glass with a hole in the bottom) which is filled 2 - 3 times a day, plus she is misted with warm water twice a day too. There is always a tiny orange/yellow tip to the urates, but nothing significant. She is certainly not dehydrated.

Tiff; Post a picture. I just couldn't resist posting this pic of one of my daughter's little guys taking his poop. Jann

I would say that it is pretty normal. Nothing to be worried about. If the urates were yellow that would mean that it is dehydrated (which it is not).

I'll post a pic tomorrow. She dropped the urate down the back of a branch today and it stuck there! :D Not the best place to get a photo, let alone clean it up, lol! I'll try again tomorrow!

Here's a couple of pics of Amy's urates. She 'stuck' them to the side of a flower pot today, lol! Nice and easy to get to. There is a little bit of poop stuck to one end, as well as a few orange specks - but these pretty much the norm for her.
