So for some reason, my female does not like to bury her eggs. This is the second (infertile) clutch she has laid (I counted 17). Last time was early August, with 26. Each time she started showing gravid colors, her cage was covered except to feed and mist until she had laid.
She has two laybins; one is a plastic shoebox, about 4" deep and 12*6, the other is half a kitty litter container, about 10" deep and 12*10. Both this time and last, she dug a couple test holes, then dug an actual tunnel, then laid in a different pot by a plant and did not bury the eggs afterwards. She had an x-ray last time to make sure she hadn't retained any, and we're waiting to bring her in for another in a few day.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? She's perfectly healthy in all other respects, and is a year and a half old.
(Forgive the named plant, it's the cultivar of the epiphylum )
