Hello again, you may remember me from the thread https://www.chameleonforums.com/considering-getting-panther-chameleon-65858/. Well, the little guy finally came in! He's adorable. I know you're supposed to put them in the cage right away, but I figured he could use some heat and sunlight since he was in the dark for around 24 hours being shipped to me. Heres a photo of Niles, the 2 and a half month old blue bar Ambilobe Panther chameleon, hatched on 6/21/2011 from Jim. The second photo is the one where he was taking sun.
One concern and one question. My basking light broke today. (Great timing, huh?) Im going to go and get a new one ASAP when my mom gets home, but until then should I take him outside a few times to warm up? He just came in today so I don't want to stress him out.
Also, what is organic soil? I wouldn't think its safe to put soil from outside in the plant pots that are in his cage. He has ficus and pothos, so the little guy should be happy.
