Newest member of the family. Meet Ruby, my aprox. year old red argentinian tegu. She is quite healthy, but missing a few toes.

I guess red tegus need more humidity than other tegus and are notorious for having shedding problems if not enough fruits or humidity is provided, hence the mising toes. Circulation cut off by dead shed skin. Sad.

But otherwise she's healthy and really curious. She loves to burrow in my couch, under the cushions. HAHA. Anyone else here have tegus? Thanks for viewing!

Very pretty. I had a black and white tegu years ago. He had the coolest personality. Probably one of the most tame tegus I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing the great pictures!
