Hello. I recently just made an account on this site because I am trying to get into the world of chameleons. I am currently looking to buy a baby veiled chameleon and live in the Greater Toronto Area. Anyone looking to sell is welcome as well as provide locations to breeders or good places to purchase. Any help at all would be great! Thx

I always suggest to people looking to get chameleons to do their research first! that way you have the proper set up and know how to care for them before you bring them home so in case you havent here is a link to a great veiled chameleon care sheet that goes over everything they need https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/

Definitely take a good look at that caresheet first.

Pointers:

• Do not use lights at night time
• Do not buy dirt to put at the bottom of the cage
• Do not buy dried crickets, only live ones
• Humidity is high for chameleons
• Screen cage is preferred. You may use glass to keep heat and humidity up, but it is not the wisest choice and you will probably get ridiculed by other owners if you mention you use glass.

A lot of stores will try and tell you otherwise to get you to buy unnecessary things.

Veiled is not hard to start with if you just pay attention to the care sheet. Good luck!

My only suggestion is put your chameleon in low traffic area, it is easily get stressed.
