Hey guys, I'm new to the community and was wondering what i should feed my chameleon, how much, and about how many times? i bought meal worms because i went ahead and picked it up at petco since it was half off and i got it for about 30 bucks. The cage was 130 at petco so i went ahead and ordered the same one off amazon for 40 bucks and will receive it monday. For now i will have it in a tank i used to keep a leopard gecko in..any ideas on a set up?

Welcome to the forums!
How much you should feed depends how old and what species you have. You can feed as much stable feeders as you want to. Worms are not a stable/basic feeder tho. You should go for crickets and roaches (dubia is the most common) and give worms as treats. Try to avoid mealworms since they're hard to digest. Use superworms instead and be creative! caterpillars like silkworm and hornworms are also a favorite among chameleons!

Your enclosure needs to have ventilation. As a glass one it should have bottom ventilation and top for constant airflow. Most recommend the screen enclosures which provide maximum airflow. You should probably read among the caresheet for your species of chameleon to get your info straight and then ask again if you have any further questions. Good luck :)

Thanks GrimCamel! i have a baby veiled chameleon, a female and is about 3-4 inches long. Im not sure about the age..
yes, the tank i have as of right now just has a top screen since it was for a leopard gecko, but i will be receiving a zoo med 16x16x20 screen enclosure that i got off of amazon.

Welcome Pepe!

Make sure you visit the Chameleon Care Resource link and read the caresheet. There is a ton of useful information about the care of your new pet. I would also recommend using the search function as the questions you'll want to ask will most likely have already been asked by another member.
