New to forum and chameleons

I feel as though we’d be better served by investing more money into habitat and nutrition.
That's pretty much standard for most (all) herps, and what a lot of neophytes don't realize or come to grips with. I think because a lot of reptiles (especially the inexpensive ones like green anoles) wind up as impulse purchases, and not everyone looks before they leap.

"Whaddaya mean it's gonna cost $200+ per year to keep a $5 lizard‽‽‽" :eek:

Plus, my daughter, who this is really all for, fell in love with the casque!
I get that now. When I first started looking seriously at getting a chameleon, I hated the look of that casque (Don't ask me why—I have no rational answer :unsure: ). But as time & research have gone by, they're growing on me. Can't explain that either... (shrug?) :LOL:
