Hi there

Have kept a variety of reptiles over the last few years, snakes, Beardies and geckos, now about to add a chameleon to my collection, can't decide which type to go for, any advice from people who have experience would be greatly appreciated

Welcome! It really depends on what you're wanting. Size, color, female, male, uniqueness, etc...

Panthers and veileds are similar in care and are generally considered more "hardy and forgiving" for mistakes in husbandry. There is a pretty large price difference between the two. Panthers can range anywhere from $150 to over $600 ( ) and veileds can run anywhere south of $50 to north of $200.

Jackson, carpets, ousties, verrucosus, parsonii, melleri, quads, multis, hoes, etc all have different husbandry requirements and price ranges. Again, it all just depends on what you're looking for.

Pick 2-3 that you like and then read, read, READ up on all of them. There is a great search function on this forum that is chock full of great info! Good luck and feel free to ask questions! :)
