New Solarmeter 6.5!?

i would just read the description on their web site:

http://www.solarmeter.com/

I'm sure someone will chime in and let you know the difference. I think the 6.2 is meant for low level stuff like reptile lighting vs the 6.5 for outdoor use for UV index, etc. Not 100% sure though.

Get the 6.2. when I was doing my research before I bought mine it was the recommended one hands down for our indoor lighting. There wasn't anything better. The other one can measure high levels of UV and a bunch of other stuff that we don't need to know. I have used mine for years and it is still working great. I do take it outside to measure my outdoor cages just to see what nice UV's my guys are soaking up and it handles the outdoors nicely. You can get good information on the Solarmeter site. I think anyone that has lots of cages should have one. I really helps keep your bulbs current because all bulbs are not eual when you buy them from the store. Some poop out uicker than others and some will run nicely for 9-10 months without loosing their UV's. I use my lower level ones for my neonates so I get double use out of the bulbs and I couldn't do it without a meter.
