New set up

I have a yemen chameleon, we have had her since December and she is growing lovely, I love her. I have just bought a new home for her 4ft high by 2ft by 2 ft. the heat is alright, but since Sunday when she moved in her lights have been a pain. I bought A exo terra light unit, the first one burnt out with in mins, they replaced it and today I set it up again and its not smelling good and my UV light went off, dont no if its the unit or the bulb that has gone. Its driving me mad as she still does not have the uv light.

can anyone suggest what I should do, I am in england if that makes a difference

Yeah mate, I'll help!

Scrap the exo terra unit! I'm guessing its a compact unit, so the UV bulb is probably pants anyway.

Go to wickes and buy one of these:
http://www.wickes.co.uk/Fluorescent-Fitting/invt/162281

Then get yourself one of these:
http://reptilekeeping.co.uk/zoo-med-reptisun-uvb-1diam-p-629.html

Then wire up the fitting with a plug and a 5A fuse and you're golden!

You can make little brackets to hold the fixture above the cage if you like (take a look at: https://www.chameleonforums.com/my-build-guide-everyones-use-38695/) which is where i made a massive enclosure and did a little bit about the lighting!

Im all sorted now thank goods. Holly has Uv heat everything. once I can up load some pictures I will show her to you, she is lovely
