New owner!

I got my cham 3 days ago (wednesday now, got him sunday.) and I've been handeling him for about 5 min everyday but now I reallize maybe I shouldnt have. And often when I get close and open the door he "runs" away from me. Even though he gladly Eats from my hand. How should I go on making him feel less threatened by me? I am going to leave him be the following 2-3 weeks leting him settel in tho.

I'm pretty sure he'll get over it! They don't have long memories, and he's still very new and unsure. Once he settles into his new turf and sees that there's a daily routine he can expect you will have a better idea what he'll tolerate. Do what you can to make the activity around his cage regular and don't change his cage around too much. Keep hand feeding him. That's a great way to teach him that you are not a threat.
