Welcome to the forums! :) Rex is beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics.

I'm not sure why you kept getting logged off when writing your thread. It might just be something with your connection or a temporary issue. Glad to see you were successful ;).

Welcome to the forums! What a nice looking dude you have! Looks a lot like my boy! Miami :) lucky you your boy can enjoy the outdoors year round! Nothing better then real sun for a chameleon. Even if its only an hour each day. Especially jacksons who are easy over supplemented. You will be able to really cut back on his supplements if hes getting plenty of that real Miami sun! Congrats! looking forward to seeing more of him, and hearing more from you!

Hey, fellow Miamian! Welcome to the forum.

oh wow, your from Miami? i gotta say, your chameleon can win a beauty contest!! everytime i come across your posts, that pic catches my eye! lol

as far as "real sun" i plan on putting a plant in front of the screen door on my day off, open the sliding glass door, and see how much he likes it. yesterday, i left 2 blinds open for him to look outside while im at work. felt bad, leaving him here looking at nothing.

to all others, thanks for the warm welcome. like i said i wrote the intro message like 3 times, so alot was left out.

quick history: wanted a pet for my apartment, had to rule out barking, meowing, scratching, poo & pee. so i decided on a jackson (always loved the look of these!) he seems to enjoy being handled, eat from my hand the 1st day. (hasn't done it again. i will atemp on Sunday) when i picked him up, i searched for all the signs of bad health(which i learned mostly here...pat yourselves on the back:D)sunken eyes, disabled limbs or mouth, hand grip(impressive how strong they're grip is!) only thing he didnt pass on was speed. he seems to keep it at a slow pace. he enjoyes drinking from the dripper tube. never really went for drops from the leaves, and he's quite the acrobat. i catch him hanging from his tail while tring to reach the next furthest bamboo stick to crawl on. only time he has turned dark colors is when placing him back in the cage last night after letting him hang out on my arms and back for a while. but he turned back to his usual light green and yellows shortly after.

once again thanks for all the great info and people on this site. im sure i will have some questions along the way, hopefully i dont need to go anywhere else for the answers.

laters!

Welcome to the forums! Rex is a cutie, and it's nice to see another South Floridian on here - we make a lot of people jealous around January and February with our warm temps :D
