Hello everyone! I'm new to this website but when I watched a video about chameleon care the person knew so much, and talked about this website.
I took her home to her new terrarium, a large cage thats I believe 30x30 from a frontal view, and 18 inches on the sides. I apologize if that doesn't help but i'm not very good with numbers. She ate 5 crickets out of my hand I was really happy about this to know she trusts me enough to do that. I have a UVB light, a repti glo 5.0 i believe, maybe its more or less im not sure i can check tomorrow though. And a basking light and bulb the chameleon specialist there recommended for me. She has plenty of plants to climb around on but sits on the wall a little more than half way to the floor i'm afraid because these are hanging plants to there is a gap between them and the floor, also i dont have any sticks or anything for her to climb on, maybe she doesn't go up there because she doesn't know how to without something to give her a "Pathway". She's not getting any uvb from where she is (I think!) and im just wondering if this may be bad. It's her first day in her cage but I want her to be healty and bask or sit under the uvb but dont want to force her. I've misted her and her cage three times so far today it's about 4:00 pm here and I brought her home around 10:00 am. Any help would be much appreciated im sorry its so much to read. Also she's a beautiful golden brown. I can post pictures if needed.
