new chameleon at home

HI ! So I just brought home a new 4 months old veiled . He seems terrified of me so I just let him be alone and do not go near the cage . However today a gave him food and water and as soon as he saw me he ran to the bottom of the cage and is hidding behind a plant pot . He seems kinda pale too. Is this normal behaviour ? Should I be worried ? thank you

this is the enclosure

Hi there and welcome to the group. There is a husbandry review that we usually ask you to do just so we make sure you have all the correct parameters for the setup for your Cham but I can you off the top that if you just got your Cham then it is going to take about a week for them to adjust to their new surroundings and to you. So it is pretty typical that they will run and hide and have color fluctuations due to stress. It is normal. I would leave them alone except to feed them so that they could adjust. Again, I would suggest you copy and paste this info below and answer the questions to the best of your ability and one of our experienced Cham enthusiast will review it and make any necessary recommendations.

Fill this out plz! And post pictures!
