I don't know how to comment on Amazon's "description" of the book, but it's infuriating to see them state that chams change color to match their background!!!!

I entered a "review" about the description...we'll see if it works!

Well I got my copy tonight and so far I like it. It is different than the normal care books and talks alot about where they come from and their natural enviornment and predators. Tons of great pics. I have only got to flip through it so far but I think just about anyone on this site would enjoy this book.

I got mine over the weekend and so far I think its worth having for anyone interested in chameleons (although I'm not sure why anyone interested in chameleons wouldn't want any book related to them, even if it wasn't a particularly good one). I haven't had a chance to read the text yet but there are a lot of really nice pictures and for the most part, those pictures are labeled correctly (I think I saw four throughout the book that were misidentified or their name misspelt). It is not a book on the captive side of chameleons, etc., but I think chameleon keepers would enjoy it as well. I'll be sure to give a review of the text once I've had time to read it as well.

Great I'm ordering my copy this weekend. I would not mind reading the life history of Eastern Madagascar Chameleons (if this is a book about chameleons in the wild) Parsonii etc... As there seems still to be a lack of that kind of information being published.

A side note there is a European Chameleon video that just was released too.

Link to the video,. also the book is more of a thorough overview of chameleons in general with some amazing pics in it. It covers each genus, but doesnt cover the species within it.

The one review I have heard about it is it has a good Parsonii segment.

Just got my copy today and it looks good. I'm glad there is a new chameleon book out there. The one error in the book that I found after going through it a couple times is the authors have got Tiger Chameleon listed as Calumma tigris not an updated Archaius tigris.
