New Baby Veiled

Hello Everybody!

Im new to this forum and excited to be on here. I just adopted a baby female veiled chameleon, my first chameleon. I am very excited and want the best for her (not to sure on the name yet).
I currently have her in a 18"X18"X18" vented terrarium I also leave the glass sliding panels with a little space to allow for more ventilation. As for lighting I'm running a 75watt power sun, and a UVB bulb. I use a reptifogger for humidity usually leaving it on for 20-30mins 2 times a day because it is very dry at my place during the cold winter months.
As for foliage I use plastic plants and live pothos with fake vines, the plants hold water really well for her to drink when i mist or when the fogger drips. Im using organic coconut substrate, but after doing some reading I may take it out when I do the first cleaning.
When I first saw she was very thin (see pics) she is still thin but I've already started to notice small weight gain. I was very suprised to see her eat right when she moved in and quite a bit too. Pretty much anything I gave her, crickets, phoenix worms, and waxworms . Im feeding everyday mostly gut loaded 3 week crickets w/ calcium and small phoenix worms. wax occasionally. I use a small bowl for feeding. I like to keep a wide variety, but I can only go with what the pet store has no slikworms, how are meal worms?
So far shes climbing on everything, and basking and moving very well her eyes are alert and look good! She hates me though!! I haven't handled her yet, but on the few times I've tried she hisses and lunges at me! she also goes down to the bottom of the cage usually when I try to handle her or even sometimes by herself (not very often)! Should I supply more foliage to prevent this?
Her color is usually a light greenish brown. Is this normal? I notice her to be really green during the night time/ lights off or when shes on plants.
I'm quite new to chameleons I've done research, but I would like to learn as much as I can; to make sure she is properly cared for. Please comment and voice your concerns! Any tips/or advice would be great!

Thanks! :)

The viv looks awesome, and you seem to be off to a great start. Mealworms are a great treat! Use crickets as her main food source and keep offering a variety as you are. her colors seem normal, she will lighten up as she sleeps as well.

:D Congrats on your new baby and welcome to the forums. You have come to the right place to learn lots and just make lots of new friends. I don't have a veil but generally they are close to the same care as my panther. I'll post some good links you may want to read. Also you can get any kind of feeder on the internet. Silkys are easy to get and easy to keep the first couple weeks then when they get big mine died off quickly. Zeke loves them so will have to find a better way to care for them or get less at a time. :D. Here you go some links.
