I think that there are many issues represented, both regarding the health of the chameleon and questions of the poster's motives in replying to the thread. We have all given the poster the best advice and it's up to her to follow it. Personal attacks and criticism are not motivating and don't help motivate people to do what's best for the animal. If you don't have anything productive to add and since everything has already been said, that's highly likely, just ignore the thread and walk away from the situation. Believe me, I understand the frustration, but it's never a good thing to "call people out", no matter their behavior, as it only perpetuates it. Offer advice, be bigger, and walk away.
I'm addressing everyone in general, not any single person and I'm not stating any opinions about the original poster's behavior, I'm only attempting to keep the perspectives clear and the conversation productive, the poster receptive, and keep things chameleon focused.
This is a VERY sick animal and it is very hard to see. Hopefully, for every animal that suffers from misinformation or ignorance, we can imagine the forum ensures the great care and prevention of these instances many more times. It is the scenario, from dog breeding to fish keeping. You will always have those that jump in the deep end, before they dip their toe in and animals will suffer. You also have those that know better, but do as they please. Some cases are a bit of both and perhaps we can admit we have all been guilty at some juncture.
In this case, all that can and should be said has been.
