Never been happier to see poop!!!

Long time no see everyone! Some of you might remember me being super worried a few weeks back about Chameleonaire not pooping for a while. Well I decided to do a little look around when I got home tonight and behold! This thing was cooking for a while in there I was about to drive him to a vet 3 hours away this weekend and pay the money for an emergency visit. He’s been acting pretty normal but it felt like the longest time and I was so worried. On another note though, what is that brown goopy stuff connected to the urate? Idk this one looks weird kind of. I feel like the poo is at least a few days old now but there was some shine to it so I feel like it wasn’t too long ago. Any responses are highly appreciated!

Yay poop! 🥳 It does look like it’s a bit dry. Maybe add some silkworms or hornworms to his regular diet…maybe try giving his feeders higher moisture or fiber content foods (pumpkin, apple, etc) and see if that helps. I’d guess the brown goop is just mucous which helped lubricate the passage out. It doesn’t look to me to be an abnormal color or quantity. That is a big hard looking poo though. Yikes! He’s got to feel better to get that out!

Thank you! I’m out of town today and will be able to get some hornworms at a pet store, he’ll be happy to see them.
