I'll drink to that!...............Who's Shay?

:D :D :D

Hi guys....well this girl has me stumped:confused:!she took 2 crickets and a locust from me this morning and i think she would have taken more had i offered it to her....could i have been wrong about her carrying eggs all along? She is still showing no intrest what so ever in the laying bin:rolleyes:

I wouldnt worry too much Ronnie, cant hurt to leave the bin in just in case. They all tend to assume every female must be about to lay eggs here :D
Long as shes healthy looking, eating drinking etc, just enjoy it! :)

She may have been receptive and not gravid. Lily used to go off food for a week or so when receptive - all she wanted to do was wander and come out of her cage looking for a male, I presumed. Like Trixxi she then started to eat again.

Cheers jojackson...laying bin in all the time anyway...as i said to Miss Lily maybe she was just having a fat day! (i have lots of those!!):D

Thanks for the PM Miss Lily:D...silly question (sorry!) and i should be looking this up but maybe one of you guys can help me out:eek:...when or if she was receptive will this inevitably lead to her producing eggs and if yes how long in between being receptive and laying? Thanks for any help:)

I have asked this in the past, and i don't think there's a definitive answer to that one! I did work out from Lily's behaviour that when she started to cycle eggs she would have a day where she would go dark and hide. She also appeared very 'hard' and bloated almost like she was full of air. I realised what was happening the second time, and as I had kept a log of all her behaviour, etc, I worked out that she would get her 'bloated' day and then go on to lay a clutch approx 3.5 to 4 weeks after that.
