I must be a slow learner too because I did it again!
A day without a good laugh is a day wasted!![]()
She may have been receptive and not gravid. Lily used to go off food for a week or so when receptive - all she wanted to do was wander and come out of her cage looking for a male, I presumed. Like Trixxi she then started to eat again.
Thanks for the PM Miss Lily...silly question (sorry!) and i should be looking this up but maybe one of you guys can help me out
...when or if she was receptive will this inevitably lead to her producing eggs and if yes how long in between being receptive and laying? Thanks for any help

I have asked this in the past, and i don't think there's a definitive answer to that one! I did work out from Lily's behaviour that when she started to cycle eggs she would have a day where she would go dark and hide. She also appeared very 'hard' and bloated almost like she was full of air. I realised what was happening the second time, and as I had kept a log of all her behaviour, etc, I worked out that she would get her 'bloated' day and then go on to lay a clutch approx 3.5 to 4 weeks after that.
